Dear Families,
What a beautiful sunny week it was! Classes went outside for lots of learning, exercise and fun! Speaking of fun, your children may have told you about some strange things going on with our staff. It was Staff Secret Spirit Week, during which we had something new for students to guess each day: Anything But a Water Bottle, Favourite Holiday, Secret Spies, Everything All Mixed Up, and Favourite Sport. This week, students will vote to choose which of the School Spirit Days they would like to have!
Thanks to PAC funding, we had a whole-school presentation on Friday with Professor Wow – it was lots of science fun and a great way to end the week!
Track Meet: Monday, May 4
On Monday our Grades 4-7 track participants will be heading to the Regional Track Meet. Thank you to our staff who have worked to prepare them for competition, particularly to Ms Homeniuk and Mr Connaughton for organizing and coordinating. Good luck to all of our athletes. Go Thunderbirds!
UPCOMING EVENTS & INFORMATION:
Welcome to Kindergarten:
Tuesday, May 12 – 1:45 pm to 2:30 pm
Tuesday, May 26 – 1:45 pm to 2:30 pm
The meetings will be held at Cliff Drive Elementary school and are for new Kindergarten parents and children. We recommend that you attend both sessions to give your child time to meet the teachers, see the classroom and for parents to attend sessions held by different speakers from our District and school. Please enter the school through the Gym doors at the back of the school.
Please RSVP if you will be able to attend one or both sessions: cliffdrive.elem@deltaschools.ca

If you know that you and your family will be moving out of the community this summer, please let us know as soon as you can. This information will be helpful as we plan the new school year. Thanks!
