Student-Led Conferences: Wednesday April 22nd (Early dismissal at 2:00 pm)
Parents and Guardians are invited to our Student Led Conferences on Wednesday April 22nd. 
Student-led conferences are a valuable opportunity for students to take ownership of their learning by sharing their progress, achievements, and goals directly with their families. These conferences empower students to reflect on their growth and take pride in their accomplishments, all while building confidence and communication skills.
Paul Davis Presentations: Friday, April 24
Paul Davis is presenting to Intermediate students on Friday afternoon, bringing his wealth of knowledge on social media, online safety, cyberbullying, AI and privacy.
In the evening at 6:00 pm, he will be meeting with parents to empower them in these areas, and many others. Through wisdom garnered from over 30 years in the IT/Cyber world, he has meaningful insights into truths versus myths, as well as the impact of online actions long-term. Paul is looking forward to sharing his message for the first time in Delta to help students and parents navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.

Scholastic Book Fair: April 27 – 30
Our Library will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair on the following days and times:
Monday April 27, Tuesday April 28, Thursday April 30 – Recess/Lunch/ 3:00-3:30
Wednesday April 29 – Recess/Lunch/3:00-5:30 OPEN LATE
Track Meet: Monday, May 4
Track season is upon us! Our Grades 4-7 will participate in a variety of events including running races, long jump, relays, shot put and softball throw at the Regional Track Meet. This year it will be held in Ladner at Delta Secondary on May 4th. We will need parent drivers to transport our track participants, so please hold the date open if you will be able to assist.
Welcome to Kindergarten:
Tuesday, May 12 – 1:45 pm to 2:30 pm
Tuesday, May 26 – 1:45 pm to 2:30 pm
The meetings will be held at Cliff Drive Elementary school and are for new Kindergarten parents and children. We recommend that you attend both sessions to give your child time to meet the teachers, see the classroom and for parents to attend sessions held by different speakers from our District and school. Please enter the school through the Gym doors at the back of the school.

Cell phones / Personal Devices (including Apple Watches)
A reminder that in Delta Elementary Schools, personal digital devices are not to be used at any time during the school day, including during instructional time, recess, lunch and field trips. Students who bring them to school check them in with their classroom teacher, who returns them at the end of the day. For illness or emergencies, the school office will make a call to reach parents/guardians.

USED BOOK SALE: May 6 – May 8 – at lunch and after school
Donate your used books, puzzles, arts & crafts supplies, & board games for our used Book Sale! Make your life easy and drop off at the gym stage on April 22nd Student Led conference Day! or bring in items to the Gym by May 6th!
We are also looking for volunteers for the Book Sale!

Set up – Wednesdayd May 6 9am-11am

Freezie Fridays:
Freezie Fridays will start every Friday after the May long weekend! Jumbo Freezies are $2 each. Sales will be cash only at the back of the school, near the playground.

Arrive early for the Legion meat Draw 6-7, Music starts at 7:30.50/50 draw, toonie toss, 3 big raffle items and local vendor mart on site.
